Hello, my name is Davina D’Avoine and I am the heart and soul behind Paws Pet Sitters. I grew up on a farm in Melbourne and have always had a passion for animals ever since I can remember. All throughout my childhood and school years I have owned pets and made them my hobby. From all the farm animals back in Melbourne – horses, goats, chickens, geese and guinea pigs to my school projects with blue tongue lizards, mice and incubating chicken eggs, I have always been surrounded by animals. And of course, I have always owned cats, dogs and birds and at present own 2 beautiful but naughty Alaskan Malamutes Tehya and Shadow.

I wanted to be a Vet all through school but when I reached University I decided I would like to own my own pet care business. I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and loved every minute of it! While at Uni I volunteered at Australia Zoo and I walked dogs for the RSCPA at Dakabin. At the end of Uni I was ecstatic to get a job with Paws Pet Sitters with the previous owners and was pet sitting for about 1 year before the opportunity to buy the business came along. While being a pet sitter for Paws I always envisioned where the business could go and how many people would benefit from this service if they only knew it existed! So when I bought the business I made a promise to dedicate all my time to creating awareness to pet owners of this fabulous convenient service and to always display the very best of care with their beloved fury friends.
