Why should I consider a pet sitter?

How does this work?

How do I know that the pet sitter has visited my home?

Do you take care of other animals, besides cats and dogs?

1. Why should I consider a pet sitter?
Pet sitting is one of the better answers to your pet care needs, whether you are going on holidays, taken ill, or are a busy professional who can't always be available to take care of your furry best friends.

Your pet will be happier at home in its own environment with its usual smells and surroundings. This service is very convenient when you need to take that emergency trip and we are never booked out!

2. How does this work?
Initially please contact us via phone (or use the online booking form) so that our friendly staff can take your details down and set up an appointment with you and the pet sitter. You will then have an interview with your pet sitter. The interview will be at your home so that the pet sitter can see where everything will be located and so they can meet your pets. A Service Agreement will be filled out that sets up the visit schedule and any information that the petsitter may need. The pet sitter will then visit your household on the appointed days and will carry out the service.

3. How do I know that the pet sitter has visited my home?
There are a few ways that this can be noted, most commonly by the Welcome Home note that's left behind, number of food cans that have been used up, pet health and a friendly neighbour who might have glimpsed the pet sitter. You will also be contacted frequenetly by the pet sitter to let you know how your pets are going. In instances of ongoing dog walking or hydrobathing services, where the owner comes home daily, the pet carer can fill out a service card advising the owner that their dog has been walked or hydrobathed.

4. Do you take care of other animals, besides cats and dogs?
Yes – we take care of your birds, guinea pigs, horses, rats, rabbits, fish, chickens, snakes, spiders and even your pet rock!
